See the campus for the trees
A photo essay by Craig Terry

Even if you don’t know a white oak from a mountain laurel (as our botanically-impaired photographer confessed), you know that Rowan’s campus is beautifully rich with stately trees and flowering shrubs. In fact, the third item on the 1917 list of reasons for building the school here was, “The beauty that only nature can provide.” Be encouraged by a year’s worth of photos to see the campus for the trees, hear the rustle of leaves high above, feel the crunch of acorns underfoot and smell the fragrance of the seasons outdoors. You may not be able to recite botanical names, but you’ll be refreshed with reminders of a genuinely lovely college home.
